Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Tourism, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 10.14% or 0.350 points to trade at 3.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 6.45% or 0.040 points to end at 0.660 and Afyon Cimento Sanayi TAS (IS:AFYON) was up 5.84% or 0.46 points to 8.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selcuk Ecza Deposu Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:SELEC), which fell 7.37% or 0.280 points to trade at 3.520 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) declined 4.83% or 0.99 points to end at 19.49 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was down 4.62% or 6.10 points to 125.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 207 to 149 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.69% or 8.84 to $1284.64 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.89% or 0.51 to hit $56.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.34 to trade at $63.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.38% to 3.8713, while EUR/TRY fell 0.43% to 4.4851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 94.84.
