Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance, Telecoms and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which rose 4.62% or 1.64 points to trade at 37.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) added 4.59% or 1.58 points to end at 36.00 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) was up 4.36% or 0.69 points to 16.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 13.26% or 0.240 points to trade at 1.570 at the close. Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM) declined 11.93% or 0.130 points to end at 0.960 and Albaraka Turk Katilim Bankasi AS (IS:ALBRK) was down 6.32% or 0.120 points to 1.780.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 148 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.24% or 3.05 to $1287.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.74% or 0.42 to hit $56.14 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.12% or 0.08 to trade at $65.94 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.85% to 5.4300, while EUR/TRY rose 0.98% to 6.1472.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 96.743.
