Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Banking and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 5.05% or 0.37 points to trade at 7.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) added 4.87% or 0.650 points to end at 14.000 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 4.25% or 3.85 points to 94.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK), which fell 6.87% or 2.56 points to trade at 34.70 at the close. Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) declined 2.95% or 0.150 points to end at 4.940 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) was down 2.93% or 0.080 points to 2.650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 181 to 176 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.70% or 10.10 to $1427.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 3.07% or 1.80 to hit $56.78 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.57% or 1.67 to trade at $63.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.29% to 5.5694, while EUR/TRY fell 0.42% to 6.1594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 98.382.
