Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic and Textile & Leather sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.19% or 0.390 points to trade at 5.150 at the close. Meanwhile, Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.39% or 0.110 points to end at 2.150 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was up 4.48% or 0.220 points to 5.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which fell 3.26% or 0.07 points to trade at 2.08 at the close. Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) declined 3.20% or 3.30 points to end at 99.90 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) was down 3.19% or 0.60 points to 18.22.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 188 to 151 and 64 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.19% or 2.50 to $1288.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.12% or 0.80 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.46 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.85% to 4.5739, while EUR/TRY rose 1.85% to 5.3851.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.61.
