Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Tourism sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO), which rose 4.22% or 0.330 points to trade at 8.150 at the close. Meanwhile, DO & Co AG (IS:DOCO) added 3.65% or 6.90 points to end at 196.00 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 3.12% or 0.240 points to 7.930 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which fell 4.55% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.290 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 3.53% or 0.240 points to end at 6.550 and Arcelik AS (IS:ARCLK) was down 3.30% or 0.72 points to 21.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 137 and 43 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.30% or 3.82 to $1277.08 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.00% or 0.52 to hit $52.42 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.34% or 0.77 to trade at $58.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 3.7280, while EUR/TRY rose 0.47% to 4.3883.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 93.78.
