Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Real Estate Investments, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.06%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK), which rose 20.00% or 0.300 points to trade at 1.800 at the close. Meanwhile, Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) added 5.04% or 0.060 points to end at 1.250 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was up 4.32% or 0.120 points to 2.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO), which fell 2.85% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.730 at the close. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.51% or 1.55 points to end at 60.15 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was down 2.41% or 0.88 points to 35.70.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 179 to 167 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) rose to 52-week highs; up 20.00% or 0.300 to 1.800. Shares in Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) rose to all time highs; rising 4.32% or 0.120 to 2.900.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1264.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.24% or 0.14 to hit $57.36 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.21% or 0.13 to trade at $63.54 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.20% to 3.8372, while EUR/TRY rose 0.41% to 4.5323.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.27.
