Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Sports and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.03% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 3.81% or 0.280 points to trade at 7.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) added 3.27% or 0.280 points to end at 8.830 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 3.13% or 0.110 points to 3.630 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which fell 13.88% or 1.530 points to trade at 9.490 at the close. Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) declined 4.69% or 0.70 points to end at 14.21 and Vestel Beyaz Esya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESBE) was down 3.80% or 0.400 points to 10.130.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 216 to 138 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.97 to $1279.27 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $54.30 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.07 to trade at $60.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.19% to 3.8072, while EUR/TRY rose 0.23% to 4.4462.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 94.53.
