Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN), which rose 9.66% or 0.140 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Meanwhile, Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) added 5.00% or 0.050 points to end at 1.050 and Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS) was up 4.15% or 2.80 points to 70.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which fell 8.00% or 0.400 points to trade at 4.600 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) declined 7.59% or 0.470 points to end at 5.720 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) was down 7.38% or 0.310 points to 3.890.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 176 to 166 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.66% or 0.140 to 1.590.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.56% or 7.21 to $1290.11 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.36% or 0.17 to hit $46.95 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.01% or 0.51 to trade at $50.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.01% to 3.5169, while EUR/TRY fell 0.21% to 4.1306.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 93.59.
