Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 3.24%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 15.47% or 0.430 points to trade at 3.210 at the close. Meanwhile, Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) added 7.41% or 2.340 points to end at 33.900 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 6.84% or 0.080 points to 1.250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which fell 1.94% or 0.120 points to trade at 6.080 at the close. GSD Holding AS (IS:GSDHO) declined 1.20% or 0.010 points to end at 0.820 and Gentas Genel Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GENTS) was down 0.65% or 0.010 points to 1.540.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 334 to 43 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 7.41% or 2.340 to 33.900.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.41% or 5.25 to $1286.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.14% or 1.26 to hit $57.55 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 2.76% or 1.87 to trade at $66.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.90% to 5.8949, while EUR/TRY fell 1.83% to 6.5648.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 98.053.
