Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Food & Beverages and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 2.83%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL), which rose 10.00% or 27.50 points to trade at 302.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) added 9.99% or 39.75 points to end at 437.75 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 9.96% or 17.70 points to 195.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which fell 10.00% or 1.97 points to trade at 17.73 at the close. Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL) declined 3.67% or 2.50 points to end at 65.65 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) was down 3.02% or 1.85 points to 59.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 453 to 111 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 10.00% or 1.97 to 17.73.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 2.57% or 70.65 to $2,679.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.46% or 0.33 to hit $71.66 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.73% or 0.55 to trade at $74.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.23% to 34.23, while EUR/TRY fell 2.05% to 36.77.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.61% at 104.99.
