Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.38% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which rose 9.34% or 1.44 points to trade at 16.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) added 8.83% or 1.21 points to end at 14.92 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was up 8.68% or 2.38 points to 29.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN), which fell 3.45% or 11.90 points to trade at 333.20 at the close. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) declined 3.40% or 1.06 points to end at 30.08 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was down 1.77% or 0.040 points to 2.220.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 299 to 70 and 40 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.30 to $1207.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.46% or 1.73 to hit $68.64 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.83% or 1.46 to trade at $78.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 3.28% to 6.1344, while EUR/TRY fell 2.74% to 7.1744.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 94.62.
