Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 9.97% or 4.69 points to trade at 51.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) added 9.96% or 20.20 points to end at 223.10 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) was up 7.50% or 1.60 points to 22.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which fell 3.02% or 1.50 points to trade at 48.24 at the close. EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) declined 2.01% or 1.10 points to end at 53.50 and Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) was down 1.82% or 0.46 points to 24.88.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 448 to 114 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.17% or 4.30 to $2,542.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.42% or 0.32 to hit $75.22 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.54% or 0.43 to trade at $79.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.26% to 33.75, while EUR/TRY rose 0.53% to 37.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 101.83.
