Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Electricity and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.13%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE), which rose 10.00% or 15.50 points to trade at 170.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS:SMRTG) added 10.00% or 3.40 points to end at 37.40 and Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) was up 9.98% or 2.58 points to 28.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT), which fell 3.16% or 63.00 points to trade at 1,930.00 at the close. Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) declined 1.54% or 7.50 points to end at 479.00 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was down 1.41% or 0.08 points to 5.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 450 to 113 and 15 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.61% or 16.70 to $2,755.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 2.37% or 1.66 to hit $71.70 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.13% or 1.58 to trade at $75.87 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.42% to 34.24, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 37.05.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 103.82.
