Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Electricity and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.94%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.50% or 0.390 points to trade at 4.980 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) added 5.85% or 0.41 points to end at 7.42 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 5.85% or 0.380 points to 6.880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR), which fell 4.32% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.330 at the close. Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) declined 2.02% or 0.14 points to end at 6.79 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was down 1.64% or 0.010 points to 0.600.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 270 to 100 and 38 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.16% or 2.00 to $1232.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.36% or 0.86 to hit $64.00 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.57% or 1.14 to trade at $73.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.30% to 5.3584, while EUR/TRY fell 1.18% to 6.1136.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.17.
