Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which rose 7.70% or 4.80 points to trade at 67.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 5.91% or 3.10 points to end at 55.55 and Qua Granite Hayal Yapi ve Urunleri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:QUAGR) was up 5.33% or 0.17 points to 3.36 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji AS (IS:AKFYE), which fell 4.24% or 1.22 points to trade at 27.58 at the close. Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) declined 3.68% or 4.90 points to end at 128.40 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was down 1.38% or 9.00 points to 643.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 460 to 103 and 11 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.05% or 24.30 to $2,337.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.12% or 0.91 to hit $81.81 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.80 to trade at $85.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.04% to 32.85, while EUR/TRY rose 0.55% to 35.27.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 105.57.
