Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Insurance and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 9.93% or 1.27 points to trade at 14.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Europower Enerji ve Otomasyon Teknolojileri Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:EUPWR) added 7.85% or 2.24 points to end at 30.76 and Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) was up 7.47% or 1.52 points to 21.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which fell 1.59% or 0.85 points to trade at 52.70 at the close. TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL) declined 1.06% or 2.40 points to end at 224.20 and Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB) was down 0.87% or 0.13 points to 14.74.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 495 to 66 and 19 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.55% or 14.90 to $2,744.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.68% or 0.48 to hit $70.29 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.55% or 0.41 to trade at $74.55 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.06% to 34.23, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 36.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 104.10.
