Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Sports and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.81%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB), which rose 17.20% or 0.160 points to trade at 1.090 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) added 9.42% or 1.110 points to end at 12.890 and Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM) was up 8.75% or 0.070 points to 0.870 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 1.91% or 0.44 points to trade at 22.54 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) declined 1.71% or 0.080 points to end at 4.590 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) was down 1.45% or 0.110 points to 7.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 303 to 71 and 32 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.41% or 5.25 to $1300.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.26% or 0.75 to hit $60.05 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.72% or 0.48 to trade at $67.58 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.82% to 5.6470, while EUR/TRY rose 1.84% to 6.3413.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 96.752.
