Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Electricity and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.27% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Flap Kongre Toplanti Hizmetleri Otomotiv ve Turizm AS (IS:FLAP), which rose 20.00% or 0.550 points to trade at 3.300 at the close. Meanwhile, Cemas Dokum Sanayi AS (IS:CEMAS) added 19.61% or 0.200 points to end at 1.220 and Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM) was up 7.14% or 0.060 points to 0.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which fell 5.66% or 0.240 points to trade at 4.000 at the close. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.87% or 0.82 points to end at 20.38 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was down 1.96% or 0.010 points to 0.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 266 to 100 and 42 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.35 to $1557.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 4.21% or 2.27 to hit $56.21 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 4.14% or 2.41 to trade at $60.67 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.03% to 5.6695, while EUR/TRY fell 0.53% to 6.2517.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.51% at 98.447.
