Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Telecoms and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.23% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 5.25% or 0.230 points to trade at 4.610 at the close. Meanwhile, Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) added 4.91% or 0.190 points to end at 4.060 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was up 4.73% or 1.74 points to 38.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which fell 5.24% or 1.40 points to trade at 25.30 at the close. Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) declined 4.23% or 0.290 points to end at 6.560 and ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) was down 2.60% or 0.140 points to 5.240.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 241 to 109 and 57 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.20% or 16.85 to $1416.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.59% or 0.34 to hit $57.09 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 1.18% or 0.76 to trade at $63.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.21% to 5.8080, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 6.6139.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 95.600.
