Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Telecoms and Tourism sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.22% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 11.36% or 0.200 points to trade at 1.960 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 5.91% or 0.340 points to end at 6.090 and Haci Omer Sabanci Holding AS (IS:SAHOL) was up 5.87% or 0.43 points to 7.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which fell 2.93% or 0.440 points to trade at 14.590 at the close. Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) declined 1.16% or 0.040 points to end at 3.400 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was down 1.04% or 0.060 points to 5.710.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 213 to 131 and 62 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.12% or 1.55 to $1289.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 2.99% or 1.51 to hit $52.02 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 2.34% or 1.38 to trade at $60.37 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.06% to 5.4367, while EUR/TRY fell 0.37% to 6.2117.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 95.528.
