Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Metal Products & Machinery, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 17.65% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.400 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) added 11.48% or 0.870 points to end at 8.450 and Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH) was up 10.45% or 0.350 points to 3.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA), which fell 2.79% or 1.00 points to trade at 34.80 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 2.47% or 1.26 points to end at 49.74 and Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) was down 2.18% or 0.56 points to 25.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 244 to 105 and 55 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.15% or 2.05 to $1330.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 2.93% or 1.68 to hit $55.58 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 2.78% or 1.87 to trade at $65.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.38% to 5.2973, while EUR/TRY fell 0.33% to 6.0090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 96.375.
