Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Leasing & Factoring and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 6.63% or 0.480 points to trade at 7.720 at the close. Meanwhile, BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) added 6.00% or 3.90 points to end at 68.90 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.89% or 0.330 points to 7.080 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 2.79% or 0.39 points to trade at 13.61 at the close. Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) declined 2.66% or 0.56 points to end at 20.50 and Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) was down 2.51% or 0.110 points to 4.280.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 204 to 130 and 70 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.66% or 0.56 to 20.50. Shares in Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.51% or 0.110 to 4.280.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.52% or 6.80 to $1308.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $66.61 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.96% or 0.74 to trade at $76.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.73% to 4.6898, while EUR/TRY fell 0.86% to 5.4581.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.95% at 94.45.
