Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 11.39% or 2.250 points to trade at 22.000 at the close. Meanwhile, SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) added 9.30% or 0.970 points to end at 11.400 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 6.50% or 0.40 points to 6.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which fell 4.53% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.790 at the close. Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) declined 2.79% or 0.98 points to end at 34.20 and Dogus Otomotiv Servis ve Ticaret AS (IS:DOAS) was down 2.24% or 0.20 points to 8.72.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 274 to 83 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.80% or 10.50 to $1326.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.25% or 0.74 to hit $59.94 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.08% or 0.68 to trade at $63.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.36% to 3.8049, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 4.6714.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 90.14.
