Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which rose 8.03% or 0.46 points to trade at 6.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) added 5.69% or 0.210 points to end at 3.900 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was up 4.61% or 0.260 points to 5.900 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA), which fell 3.59% or 7.70 points to trade at 206.70 at the close. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 2.42% or 0.660 points to end at 26.580 and Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) was down 2.31% or 0.080 points to 3.380.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 184 to 146 and 75 ended unchanged.
Shares in Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.59% or 7.70 to 206.70.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.08% or 1.00 to $1291.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.70% or 0.51 to hit $72.86 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.46% or 1.16 to trade at $80.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.46% to 4.6428, while EUR/TRY rose 1.38% to 5.4718.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.46.
