Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Insurance and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.00%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA), which rose 6.15% or 7.90 points to trade at 136.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Bera Holding AS (IS:BERA) added 5.67% or 1.02 points to end at 19.02 and EIS Eczacibasi Ilac Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ECILC) was up 5.11% or 2.55 points to 52.45 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tab Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:TABGD), which fell 3.62% or 7.50 points to trade at 199.90 at the close. Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) declined 3.45% or 0.42 points to end at 11.77 and Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) was down 2.78% or 0.12 points to 4.19.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 434 to 120 and 16 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.15% or 3.40 to $2,335.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.28% or 0.23 to hit $83.61 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.46% or 0.40 to trade at $87.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.17% to 32.57, while EUR/TRY fell 0.32% to 35.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 105.49.
