Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.92%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which rose 4.42% or 0.51 points to trade at 12.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) added 4.39% or 0.46 points to end at 10.95 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) was up 3.63% or 0.19 points to 5.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Parsan Makina Parcalari Sanayi AS (IS:PARSN), which fell 17.13% or 2.860 points to trade at 13.840 at the close. Cemtas Celik Makina Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CEMTS) declined 3.44% or 0.190 points to end at 5.330 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was down 2.73% or 0.050 points to 1.780.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 176 to 169 and 63 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.33% or 4.90 to $1481.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.37% or 0.20 to hit $54.49 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.28% or 0.17 to trade at $59.64 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.08% to 5.5103, while EUR/TRY fell 1.11% to 6.1711.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 97.420.
