Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Insurance and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT), which rose 9.97% or 19.20 points to trade at 211.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) added 8.45% or 29.50 points to end at 378.50 and Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayi AS (IS:AKSA) was up 6.44% or 0.54 points to 8.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 3.48% or 0.26 points to trade at 7.22 at the close. Oyak Cimento Fabrikalari AS (IS:OYAKC) declined 2.56% or 1.80 points to end at 68.60 and BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) was down 2.44% or 13.50 points to 540.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 424 to 138 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.48% or 0.26 to 7.22.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.63% or 16.05 to $2,553.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.73% or 1.29 to hit $75.81 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.30% or 1.01 to trade at $78.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 34.08, while EUR/TRY fell 0.30% to 37.76.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 101.32.
