Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Tourism, Textile & Leather and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 19.98% or 2.150 points to trade at 12.910 at the close. Meanwhile, Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 9.41% or 0.450 points to end at 5.230 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 6.78% or 21.60 points to 340.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR), which fell 2.05% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.770 at the close. Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) declined 2.04% or 0.120 points to end at 5.750 and Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) was down 1.63% or 0.29 points to 17.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 122 and 71 ended unchanged.
Shares in Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.05% or 0.100 to 4.770. Shares in Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.63% or 0.29 to 17.50.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.93% or 11.40 to $1216.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.35% or 0.24 to hit $67.99 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.29% or 0.21 to trade at $72.69 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.54% to 4.8207, while EUR/TRY rose 0.32% to 5.6015.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 95.26.
