Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Telecoms and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.66% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which rose 14.57% or 2.80 points to trade at 22.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) added 3.54% or 0.070 points to end at 2.050 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.32% or 0.070 points to 2.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 4.55% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.420 at the close. Metro Holding (IS:METRO) declined 2.75% or 0.030 points to end at 1.060 and Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) was down 2.19% or 0.22 points to 9.82.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 181 to 138 and 88 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 14.57% or 2.80 to 22.02.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.32% or 4.00 to $1235.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.84% or 0.44 to hit $52.78 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.49% or 0.27 to trade at $55.39 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.84% to 3.6877, while EUR/TRY fell 1.08% to 3.9366.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 100.52.
