Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Tourism, Food & Beverages and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.60%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alkim Alkali Kimya AS (IS:ALKIM), which rose 7.31% or 1.46 points to trade at 21.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 6.74% or 0.870 points to end at 13.780 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was up 6.25% or 0.540 points to 9.180 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which fell 16.89% or 2.020 points to trade at 9.940 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 2.30% or 0.130 points to end at 5.510 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was down 1.71% or 0.500 points to 28.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 208 to 146 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.08% or 1.00 to $1222.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.07% or 1.42 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 1.02% or 0.76 to trade at $75.52 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.74% to 4.8868, while EUR/TRY rose 1.24% to 5.7272.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.41% at 94.08.
