Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA), which rose 4.76% or 0.140 points to trade at 3.080 at the close. Meanwhile, Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) added 4.48% or 0.060 points to end at 1.400 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 4.44% or 0.120 points to 2.820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which fell 3.44% or 0.74 points to trade at 20.76 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.64% or 0.060 points to end at 2.210 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was down 2.53% or 1.65 points to 63.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 138 and 74 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.24% or 3.15 to $1290.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.91% or 0.48 to hit $52.11 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.56 to trade at $61.12 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.32% to 5.4846, while EUR/TRY rose 1.11% to 6.2936.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 95.213.
