Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Sports, Metal Products & Machinery and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 7.84% or 5.15 points to trade at 70.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN) added 7.43% or 31.25 points to end at 451.75 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 5.73% or 52.50 points to 968.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akbank TAS (IS:AKBNK), which fell 2.29% or 1.25 points to trade at 53.25 at the close. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.12% or 0.58 points to end at 26.72 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) was down 2.07% or 0.56 points to 26.54.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 466 to 97 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) rose to all time highs; gaining 7.84% or 5.15 to 70.80.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.69% or 18.50 to $2,709.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.03% or 0.02 to hit $70.41 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $74.13 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.11% to 34.12, while EUR/TRY fell 0.36% to 36.98.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.52.
