Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Banking and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS), which rose 9.97% or 0.72 points to trade at 7.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 8.11% or 0.030 points to end at 0.400 and Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) was up 7.65% or 0.310 points to 4.360 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER), which fell 4.46% or 0.88 points to trade at 18.85 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) declined 4.35% or 0.040 points to end at 0.880 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 4.05% or 1.04 points to 24.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 155 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.80% or 10.35 to $1308.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.86% or 1.06 to hit $57.93 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.87% or 0.58 to trade at $67.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 5.4654, while EUR/TRY rose 0.41% to 6.1819.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 96.637.
