Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Electricity and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.43%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which rose 4.61% or 0.160 points to trade at 3.630 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) added 4.25% or 0.37 points to end at 9.07 and Tat Konserve (IS:TATGD) was up 4.23% or 0.230 points to 5.670 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Net Turizm (IS:NTTUR), which fell 6.06% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.240 at the close. Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL) declined 4.40% or 0.64 points to end at 13.90 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 3.39% or 0.040 points to 1.140.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 168 to 153 and 84 ended unchanged.
Shares in Borusan Mannesmann (IS:BRSAN) rose to 3-years highs; up 4.25% or 0.37 to 9.07.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.03% or 0.45 to $1325.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.21% or 0.10 to hit $47.43 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.16% or 0.08 to trade at $49.59 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 2.9399, while EUR/TRY fell 0.31% to 3.3041.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 95.11.
