Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Insurance and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 9.96% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS) added 5.63% or 29.50 points to end at 553.50 and Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) was up 5.54% or 3.05 points to 58.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which fell 9.98% or 5.38 points to trade at 48.52 at the close. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) declined 9.22% or 0.71 points to end at 6.99 and Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) was down 6.48% or 4.85 points to 69.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 327 to 227 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) fell to 52-week lows; losing 9.22% or 0.71 to 6.99.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.28% or 6.80 to $2,415.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.74% or 0.61 to hit $83.23 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.53% or 0.45 to trade at $85.85 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.77% to 33.05, while EUR/TRY rose 0.52% to 36.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 103.79.
