Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Food & Beverages and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 14.40% or 0.90 points to trade at 7.15 at the close. Meanwhile, Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB) added 9.17% or 0.100 points to end at 1.190 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 6.85% or 1.20 points to 18.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM), which fell 5.75% or 0.050 points to trade at 0.820 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 5.26% or 0.020 points to end at 0.360 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 3.90% or 0.88 points to 21.66.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 246 to 99 and 59 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.23% or 3.00 to $1295.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.70% or 1.02 to hit $61.16 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 1.72% or 1.16 to trade at $68.74 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.24% to 5.4719, while EUR/TRY fell 1.53% to 6.1325.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 96.830.
