Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Food & Beverages and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 6.93% or 0.370 points to trade at 5.710 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Traktor ve Ziraat Makineleri AS (IS:TTRAK) added 6.78% or 3.30 points to end at 52.00 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was up 5.99% or 0.98 points to 17.35 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which fell 5.67% or 1.94 points to trade at 32.30 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) declined 4.75% or 0.290 points to end at 5.810 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was down 2.92% or 0.190 points to 6.310.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 264 to 97 and 48 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.32% or 4.00 to $1255.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.71% or 0.52 to hit $73.97 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 2.06% or 1.60 to trade at $79.21 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.09% to 4.5887, while EUR/TRY rose 0.94% to 5.3610.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 94.28.
