Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Tourism and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Astor Enerji AS (IS:ASTOR), which rose 8.42% or 8.00 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cw Enerji Muhendislik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:CWENE) added 8.01% or 16.60 points to end at 223.90 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was up 7.57% or 13.80 points to 196.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE), which fell 8.50% or 1.45 points to trade at 15.60 at the close. Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) declined 3.17% or 26.00 points to end at 794.00 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was down 2.98% or 4.40 points to 143.40.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 341 to 211 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Can2 Termik AS (IS:CANTE) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.50% or 1.45 to 15.60.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.20% or 28.50 to $2,340.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $81.33 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.07 to trade at $85.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 32.84, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 35.13.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 105.54.
