Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Sports, Information Technology and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.25% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT), which rose 6.83% or 0.11 points to trade at 1.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 5.07% or 0.07 points to end at 1.45 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 3.91% or 1.500 points to 39.860 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which fell 3.96% or 4.00 points to trade at 97.00 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) declined 3.24% or 0.40 points to end at 11.96 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was down 2.41% or 0.180 points to 7.290.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 181 to 151 and 76 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.09% or 15.40 to $1433.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $58.12 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.59% or 0.38 to trade at $64.56 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.51% to 5.7785, while EUR/TRY fell 0.59% to 6.5800.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.505.
