Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic, Food & Beverages and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM), which rose 17.97% or 0.850 points to trade at 5.580 at the close. Meanwhile, Goodyear Lastikleri TAS (IS:GOODY) added 6.44% or 0.23 points to end at 3.80 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 4.70% or 1.90 points to 42.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which fell 13.64% or 0.150 points to trade at 0.950 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.88% or 0.020 points to end at 0.390 and Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK) was down 3.29% or 0.160 points to 4.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 249 to 112 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; rising 4.70% or 1.90 to 42.30.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.01% or 0.10 to $1221.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $67.00 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.06% or 0.04 to trade at $72.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 3.84% to 5.4831, while EUR/TRY rose 3.40% to 6.3476.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.31% at 95.24.
