Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Banking and Insurance sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ittifak Holding AS (IS:ITTFH), which rose 5.68% or 0.210 points to trade at 3.910 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) added 5.17% or 0.680 points to end at 13.830 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was up 5.00% or 0.020 points to 0.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which fell 3.55% or 0.130 points to trade at 3.530 at the close. Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL) declined 3.15% or 0.040 points to end at 1.230 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was down 2.94% or 0.26 points to 8.59.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 192 to 159 and 54 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) rose to all time highs; rising 5.17% or 0.680 to 13.830.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.63% or 8.25 to $1309.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.20% or 0.12 to hit $60.11 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.36 to trade at $68.14 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.99% to 5.4713, while EUR/TRY rose 0.52% to 6.2143.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.80% at 95.960.
