Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Leasing & Factoring and Sports sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Dogan Sirketler Grubu Holding AS (IS:DOHOL), which rose 11.90% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.940 at the close. Meanwhile, Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) added 10.45% or 2.340 points to end at 24.740 and Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) was up 6.23% or 0.42 points to 7.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 2.74% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.420 at the close. Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) declined 2.34% or 0.090 points to end at 3.760 and Torunlar Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:TRGYO) was down 1.99% or 0.11 points to 5.43.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 195 to 146 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) rose to all time highs; gaining 10.45% or 2.340 to 24.740.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.47% or 6.20 to $1321.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.27% or 0.59 to hit $45.98 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $51.40 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.02% to 3.4432, while EUR/TRY rose 0.27% to 4.1390.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 91.92.
