Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Wood, Paper & Printing and Textile & Leather sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 7.67% or 0.50 points to trade at 7.02 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 6.06% or 0.180 points to end at 3.150 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 4.53% or 0.110 points to 2.540 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which fell 2.56% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.380 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 1.74% or 0.050 points to end at 2.820 and Logo Yazilim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LOGO) was down 1.53% or 0.900 points to 58.100.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 179 to 163 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 6.06% or 0.180 to 3.150. Shares in Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.53% or 0.110 to 2.540.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.50% or 18.65 to $1223.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.61% or 0.74 to hit $46.78 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 0.68 to trade at $49.45 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.12% to 3.5599, while EUR/TRY rose 0.50% to 4.0467.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
