Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Leasing & Factoring and Metal Products & Machinery sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.03% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 4.83% or 0.350 points to trade at 7.590 at the close. Meanwhile, Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) added 4.12% or 1.54 points to end at 38.88 and Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) was up 3.90% or 0.75 points to 20.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB), which fell 3.09% or 0.25 points to trade at 7.84 at the close. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 3.08% or 0.040 points to end at 1.260 and Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) was down 2.53% or 0.040 points to 1.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 174 to 171 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.39% or 17.75 to $1297.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.47% or 0.25 to hit $53.38 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.17 to trade at $61.26 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.27% to 5.2763, while EUR/TRY rose 1.11% to 6.0150.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.73% at 95.593.
