Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Holdings & Investments and Food & Beverages sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 4.23% or 0.420 points to trade at 10.360 at the close. Meanwhile, Koc Holding AS (IS:KCHOL) added 3.09% or 0.51 points to end at 17.02 and Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN) was up 2.90% or 0.060 points to 2.130 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:AGHOL), which fell 3.95% or 1.04 points to trade at 25.26 at the close. Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) declined 3.27% or 0.120 points to end at 3.550 and Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) was down 2.48% or 1.30 points to 51.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 197 to 160 and 53 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.35% or 4.60 to $1313.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.41% or 0.86 to hit $62.05 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 1.06% or 0.69 to trade at $65.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.70% to 3.9229, while EUR/TRY rose 0.45% to 4.8194.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 90.25.
