Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Textile and Semiconductor sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Basso Industry Corp (TW:1527), which rose 10.00% or 4.30 points to trade at 47.30 at the close. Meanwhile, TYC Brother Industrial Co Ltd (TW:1522) added 10.00% or 2.30 points to end at 25.30 and Yu Foong International Corp (TW:1438) was up 9.99% or 0.670 points to 7.380 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharmally International Holding Co Ltd (TW:6452), which fell 10.00% or 15.00 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Green Energy Technology Inc (TW:3519) declined 10.00% or 1.04 points to end at 9.36 and Micro-Star International Co Ltd (TW:2377) was down 8.29% or 5.80 points to 64.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 495 to 304 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in Green Energy Technology Inc (TW:3519) fell to all time lows; losing 10.00% or 1.04 to 9.36. Shares in Micro-Star International Co Ltd (TW:2377) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.29% or 5.80 to 64.20.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.90% or 0.51 to $56.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 1.07% or 0.71 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1215.50 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.26% to 30.884, while TWD/CNY rose 0.13% to 0.2254.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 96.82.
