Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Electricity and Other Electronic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Compeq Manufacturing Co Ltd (TW:2313), which rose 9.95% or 4.25 points to trade at 46.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Darfon Electronics Corp (TW:8163) added 9.84% or 2.75 points to end at 30.70 and Falcon Power Co Ltd (TW:1516) was up 9.80% or 1.70 points to 19.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sun Race Sturmey-Archer Inc (TW:1526), which fell 10.00% or 5.40 points to trade at 48.60 at the close. Lily Textile Co Ltd (TW:1443) declined 9.93% or 0.58 points to end at 5.26 and Bright Led Electronics Corp (TW:3031) was down 5.51% or 1.10 points to 18.85.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 393 to 362 and 124 ended unchanged.
Shares in Compeq Manufacturing Co Ltd (TW:2313) rose to all time highs; rising 9.95% or 4.25 to 46.95. Shares in Darfon Electronics Corp (TW:8163) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 9.84% or 2.75 to 30.70.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.58% or 0.33 to $56.87 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.57% or 0.36 to hit $63.33 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.13% or 1.70 to trade at $1277.50 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.04% to 30.179, while TWD/CNY rose 0.05% to 0.2204.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 94.79.
