Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Computers & Peripherals and Other Electronic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Ta Jiang Co Ltd (TW:1453), which rose 10.00% or 0.90 points to trade at 9.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortune Electric Co Ltd (TW:1519) added 9.97% or 1.90 points to end at 20.95 and Grand Pacific Petrochemical Corp (TW:1312) was up 9.96% or 2.35 points to 25.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ace Pillar Co Ltd (TW:8374), which fell 9.94% or 4.10 points to trade at 37.15 at the close. Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912) declined 7.98% or 17.00 points to end at 196.00 and Taisol Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3338) was down 6.29% or 2.00 points to 29.80.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 411 to 325 and 137 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ta Jiang Co Ltd (TW:1453) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 10.00% or 0.90 to 9.90.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.14% or 0.08 to $57.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $63.81 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.15% or 1.91 to trade at $1285.59 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.05% to 30.166, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.00% to 0.2201.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 94.41.
