Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Glass, Construction and Electronic Parts/Components sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 1.68%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Dynamic Electronics Co Ltd (TW:3715) added 9.94% or 6.90 points to end at 76.30 and Wan Hai Lines Ltd (TW:2615) was up 9.94% or 8.20 points to 90.70 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hsin Ba Ba Corp (TW:9906), which fell 9.91% or 16.00 points to trade at 145.50 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Evermore Chemical Industry Co Ltd (TW:1735) was down 9.82% or 2.75 points to 25.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) rose to 3-years highs; rising 350.24% or 7.39 to 9.50.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.46% or 0.33 to $71.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.38% or 0.28 to hit $74.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 5.95 to trade at $2,682.95 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.07% to 31.87, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.17% at 99.99.
