Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Rubber, Construction and Auto sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Taimide Tech Inc (TW:3645), which rose 9.95% or 4.20 points to trade at 46.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3607) added 9.95% or 1.85 points to end at 20.45 and Huang Hsiang Construction Corp (TW:2545) was up 9.93% or 5.90 points to 65.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which fell 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 at the close. Oceanic Beverages Co Inc (TW:1213) declined 8.61% or 1.15 points to end at 12.20 and Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) was down 6.45% or 0.20 points to 2.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.32% or 0.25 to $77.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 2.25 to trade at $2,494.65 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.30% to 32.31, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.74.
